“Without fathers, there is no baseball!" Passion and love of the game is passed on through generations like a treasured family heirloom. In almost every case when a Major League Baseball player is asked, “How did you develop a love for the game?” his first words are, “My dad.” There’s just something magical about it, the ball going back and forth between you and your Dad… no words need to be spoken, just the popping of the glove…. like an invisible string connecting you. If you grew up with countless times of catch, ground balls and batting practice with your Dad, if he helped you make a makeshift pitching mound and bases in your backyard and he cheered you on as you played t-ball and little league, remember him this Father's Day with a symbol of a legacy you both share.
